The Daring Way™

Do you:…

  • Struggle with Living Life more fully?
  • Find yourself bogged down by the pressure to be perfect?
  • Stay small because of fear of judgment by others or judgment of yourself?
  • Long to create more satisfying connections with others, but are afraid to try?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then The Daring Way™ might be right for you.

What is the Daring Way™?

The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process we explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding us back and we identify the new choices and practices that will move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.

The Daring WayTM method is based on the research of Brené Brown, Ph.D. LMSW. Dr. Brené Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Brené Brown Endowed Chair at the Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past fifteen years studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy and is the author of four #1 New York Times Bestsellers: The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, and her newest bestseller, Braving the Wilderness.

Brené’s 2010 TEDx Houston talk “The Power of Vulnerability” is one of the top five most viewed TED talks in the world, with over 25 million viewers.

A limited number of individual slots to complete the 12-session Daring Way™ curriculum through 1-1 sessions are now available. Each session is 1 – 1.5 hours long and will allow participants to work at their own pace in completing the curriculum.

The most powerful way to experience The Daring Way™ is as part of a group, in which you proceed through the 12 modules along with several other participants. Participation in a Daring Way™ group allows one to share experiences and exercises with others who are going through a similar process.
